Anemonia half-moon necklace XL | n.02
The Collection - Anemonia originates from the observation of the concentric, never fully regular geometries that characterize marine creatures, the way sea urchins and starfish build their own shell by accretion, letting chance draw a symmetry that is never perfect. Mirror-polished spheres, set against a sandblasted, matte background, translate this irregular accumulation into silver, catching the light with every movement.
The piece - 925 silver necklace with a half-moon shaped pendant, in the collection's largest size. The outer surface is entirely covered in evenly spaced, mirror-polished raised spheres set against a sandblasted background; the inside of the pendant is sandblasted.
Fit - The pendant sits as a focal point on the neck, while remaining light to wear thanks to its thin construction. The chain follows its movement without weighing it down.
Craftsmanship - Each sphere that decorates the Anemonia pieces is applied by hand, individually, while the model is still in wax, before casting in silver. This manual step makes every piece slightly different from the others in the spacing and arrangement of the raised forms. In this process the spheres are mirror polished, while the background remains sandblasted and matte, heightening by contrast the brilliance of the raised details.
