Inspiration - Cocoon draws on the natural process of metamorphosis, in which living matter encloses itself within a temporary shell to transform. The pendant depicts a cocoon built to contain something long since dissolved: muscle and organ tissue reduced to cellular material, broken down to make way for an entirely new form. The empty space enclosed between the two shells stands as a marker of a profound transformation, now complete, but not forgotten.

The piece - Necklace in 925 silver, hand-sculpted in wax and cast using the lost-wax technique. The outer perforated cell structure has a polished, material-rich finish, while the deeper recesses remain oxidized, marking the contrast between light and shadow. The perimeter is punctuated by a series of small spherical reliefs that accentuate its irregular profile.

Fit - The pendant is designed to be worn centrally, at sternum height, where the open structure can move slightly and catch light from multiple angles. The interplay of filled and empty cells creates a chiaroscuro that shifts with movement and light, reading particularly well against wide necklines or dark, neutral-toned garments, which bring out the contrast between polished and matte surfaces. It works both as a statement piece and paired with thinner chains.

Craftsmanship - This is a one-of-a-kind piece: the wax was entirely hand-sculpted and cast as a single example. No second copy exists.
